WHY CHARACTER ?

A PERSONAL NEED

Character is a dream. That of creating and dressing my entourage, then Character became a project. A project that took shape after years of study and experience. Today, Character seems obvious.

As time goes by, I want to wear more timeless pieces, with fewer prints or frills. Every morning when it's time to get ready, my outfit choice is always the same styles of clothes. Comfortable pieces, with beautiful materials, which ultimately do not need much more to be elegant and dressed.

It was while going shopping on the weekends that I realized how difficult it was to find wardrobe classics that had that little detail that would set me appart from another person wearing the same item of clothing.

I then chose to buy pieces in a fabric that I liked, to keep this base and deconstruct it by adding a more personal touch.

By earning my living, I then wanted to appropriate designer pieces, hoping that they would be less worn by the masses. But when you want quality, often the prices are higher.

With Character, I wanted to offer collections where timeless pieces are all re-visited, made only from noble and luxurious materials, in very limited quantities and at a fair price. I made my personal need a brand that would meet these requirements.

THE THREE FACETS

To complete these classics, I take inspiration from the pieces that my mother wore when she was younger. This style from the 60s and 70s totally matches my woman-child side. Silky materials, trapeze skirts, puffed sleeves, from these inspirations my second line came out.

As an active and independent woman, my grandfather's jacket is the perfect reference to create The Oversize Suit Jacket. Available in different colors and in different wools, it becomes a modern jacket. Re-visited from A to Z, this jacket becomes the bestseller of the collection.

Besides work, there are all kinds of events for which we like to wear "sexier" outfits. For this, Character offers an "evening line" where you will find silk skirts, corsets, ruffled sleeves, ...

The three facets of the woman (the woman-child, the business woman, the femme fatale) are highlighted by these three lines responding to the way she feels, the way she wants to dress for each occasion.
